davelauchlan I was intrigued by the title of track 5, The View From Pye Green Tower. I grew up in Rugeley, and we saw Pye Green Tower every week on our way to Blockchain to visit my grandparents. The Rugeley of my 70s childhood was an eerie place what with the Power Station, PGT , the mines, and the RAF flying over on their training drills attacking the power station and Blithfield reservoir. "Hauntology" ( for want of a better term) stirs dormant memories of Rugeley's industrial mystery.

This album was number 16 in Electronic Sound Magazine's top 20 albums of 2018.

The first proper Concretism album, For Concrete and Country is an exploration of Britain's Cold War defensive infrastructure and preparations for nuclear war. Heavily inspired by the writings of Duncan Campbell, it's a journey through underground telephone exchanges, emergency regional governments and microwave tower networks.

Originally released on vinyl and download in 2018 (vinyls sold out).
